Terms and Conditions

These terms explain how Yas Island Car Battery works: how a job is quoted and confirmed, what we need from you at the car, what the battery warranty covers, and how payment and cancellations are handled. Please read them before you book. Asking us to attend means you accept them.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to every job you book with Yas Island Car Battery by phone or WhatsApp, and to your use of https://www.yasislandcarbattery.ae. We are a mobile service working on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi: the technician comes to wherever your car is parked.

They sit alongside your rights under UAE consumer protection law and do not take any of those rights away. If anything here is unclear, ask us on +971 50 000 0000 before the work starts and we will explain it.

2. The services

Our core service is mobile: battery testing, jump starts and battery replacement carried out where the car is parked, whether that is a home, a hotel, a mall car park or the roadside, provided it is safe to work there.

On request we also arrange other garage services such as mechanical repairs, towing and recovery, AC work and tyres. Some of these are carried out by independent third-party workshops or recovery operators rather than by our own technicians, and we will tell you when that is the case.

3. Quotes and confirmation

No prices are published on https://www.yasislandcarbattery.ae, because the right battery and the work involved depend on your car. We give you the price by phone or WhatsApp once we know the make, model and year, and it is confirmed with you before any work starts.

No work is carried out without your agreement. If the technician finds something different at the car, such as a different battery size or a fault that is not the battery, we stop, explain and give you a revised quote. You are free to say no.

4. Attendance and arrival times

Any arrival time we give is an estimate, not a guarantee. It depends on technician availability, traffic, weather, event days on the island and how easily we can reach the car. We will keep you updated if the estimate changes.

Attendance depends on a technician being free when you call, and at busy times we may not be able to take a job. If we are running significantly later than the estimate we gave, you may cancel without any charge.

5. Access and your responsibilities

We may decline or stop a job where the location is unsafe, for example a live traffic lane, a flooded area or a space with no room to work, or where security will not allow access. In that case we will suggest an alternative, such as recovery to a safer spot.

We can only work if we can reach the car and you are entitled to have it worked on. Please be at the vehicle, or reachable by phone, when the technician arrives, and take care of the points listed below before we get there.

  • Give an accurate location: a pin, the building, the car park level and the bay number
  • Confirm that you own the vehicle or have the owner's permission for the work
  • Arrange any building, hotel, mall or venue security approval the technician needs to enter
  • Make sure there is safe space to open the bonnet or boot and to work around the car
  • Tell us about known faults, earlier electrical work, and any accident or flood damage
  • Have the key ready, along with any radio or security codes the car needs

6. Battery fitment and compatibility

We match the battery to your car using the make, model and year, the label on the existing battery and the manufacturer's specification for size, capacity, technology and terminal layout. If the car came with an AGM or EFB battery, we fit the same technology.

Some vehicles need the new battery registered or coded to the car. We do this on site where the vehicle needs it and our equipment supports it. Other vehicles need a workshop or dealer, for coding or because the battery is hard to reach, and we will tell you before starting.

Disconnecting a battery can reset the clock, radio presets, window settings and similar memory functions. We take care to preserve them where we can, but some resets are unavoidable and are not a fault in the work.

7. Warranty

Batteries we fit carry a warranty of up to 24 months, depending on the battery. The exact period is stated on your invoice and runs from the fitting date. The warranty covers manufacturing defects: faults in the way the battery itself was made.

To make a claim, contact us on +971 50 000 0000 with your invoice. We test the battery and the car's charging system. If the test shows a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, the battery is replaced; if it shows another cause, we explain the result and your options.

The warranty does not cover failures caused by the way the battery was used or by faults elsewhere in the car. The exclusions are listed below, and the test we carry out is what shows which of them, if any, applies.

  • Deep discharge from lights or accessories left on, or from long storage
  • A faulty alternator or charging system
  • Parasitic drain from a vehicle fault or an added accessory
  • Accident or flood damage
  • Tampering with the battery or attempts to repair it
  • Wrong application: use in a vehicle or for a purpose the battery was not supplied for
  • Physical damage such as a cracked case or damaged terminals

8. Jump starts and old batteries

A jump start gets the engine running; it does not repair the battery. We cannot guarantee that a jump-started battery will hold its charge or start the car again, and we will tell you if our test shows it should be replaced.

Jump-starting carries a small risk on vehicles that already have electrical faults, damaged wiring or non-standard accessories. We follow the correct procedure, but we are not responsible for faults that were already present and show up afterwards.

When we replace a battery, we take the old one away so that it can be recycled properly. If you would rather keep it, tell the technician before the job is finished and it will be left with you.

9. Payment

Payment is due when the work is completed, either in person or through a payment link we send you. We accept cash, card, and instalments through Tabby or Tamara where those are available for your purchase. You receive an invoice for every job.

An instalment plan is an agreement between you and Tabby or Tamara, not with us. Approval, repayment dates and any charges are set by that provider's own terms, and questions about a plan should go to the provider.

10. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel free of charge at any time before the technician is dispatched. If the technician is already on the way or at the car, please call straight away; a callout charge may apply for a wasted visit, and we will tell you before applying it.

Once a battery has been fitted and used, it cannot be returned as new. If it proves faulty, it is handled under the warranty described above: we test it and replace it when the fault is a manufacturing defect.

If a battery is unused and undamaged, for example because it turned out not to be needed, a return is assessed case by case and the outcome is confirmed to you in writing. Approved refunds go back by the method you paid with; instalment refunds follow the provider's process.

11. Third-party services

When a job needs a workshop, a recovery truck or a specialist, we arrange it with an independent provider. That provider is responsible for its own work, its own quote and any warranty it gives, and we pass on the details it needs to do the job.

We choose providers with care and will help you raise any problem with them. WhatsApp, Tabby, Tamara and card processors are also third parties, and using them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Limitation of liability

We are responsible for carrying out our work with reasonable care and skill, and for damage we cause through our own negligence. If we get something wrong, we will put it right by repairing, replacing or refunding the work concerned.

We are not responsible for faults that existed before we arrived, for problems unrelated to the work we did, or for delays outside our control such as traffic, road closures or refused access. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as missed flights, missed bookings or lost earnings.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UAE law, and nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer under UAE consumer protection law.

13. Independence and brand names

Yas Island Car Battery is an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the operators of Yas Island, or any venue, hotel, mall, theme park, circuit or residential community on it. Place names are used only to describe where we work.

We are also not affiliated with any car manufacturer or battery manufacturer. Car and battery brand names and logos belong to their owners and appear on the site only to describe compatibility and the products we can supply.

14. Website use and accuracy

The guides, glossary and vehicle information on https://www.yasislandcarbattery.ae are general information to help you understand your battery. They are not a substitute for a test on your actual car, and battery specifications can differ between model years, engines and trim levels.

We work to keep the site accurate and up to date but cannot promise that it is free of errors or always available. Please do not copy its content for commercial use without our permission, or use the site in a way that could harm it or other users.

15. Governing law, changes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. We would always rather sort out a problem directly, so please talk to us first; if that fails, the courts of Abu Dhabi have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows the current version, and the terms that apply to your job are the ones published on the day you booked it.

For any question about these terms, a job or a warranty claim, contact Yas Island Car Battery by phone or WhatsApp on +971 50 000 0000, by email at hello@yasislandcarbattery.ae, or through https://www.yasislandcarbattery.ae. We aim to reply as soon as we can.
