About Tudor
Henri Tudor, a Luxembourg engineer, worked out practical lead-acid batteries in the 1880s and licensed his name abroad. In Spain that became Sociedad Española del Acumulador Tudor, founded in Zaragoza in 1897. Exide Technologies bought the Spanish company in 1994 and still sells Tudor as its brand in Spain and Portugal.
