Why is my AC cold on the highway but warm in traffic?
That pattern usually points to the condenser fan or a blocked condenser, not the gas. At speed, airflow cools the condenser on its own, while at idle the fan has to do it. The fan, relay and wiring are tested before anything else.
Can a failed compressor be replaced on Yas Island?
No, compressor replacement is workshop work. The system has to be flushed, the drier replaced and the gas recovered properly, which needs a lift and equipment. The car is collected from your Yas Island address and returned once cooling is confirmed.
Is it safe to keep driving with a broken AC in summer?
The car will run, but Abu Dhabi summer heat is hard on the driver and passengers, especially children. A seizing compressor can also damage the drive belt that turns the alternator and water pump, so a noisy AC should be checked soon.
