Start-stop on a Peugeot
Recent Peugeot models with start-stop need an EFB or AGM battery. We match the technology your car was built with, because a conventional battery will not last in a start-stop system.

A Peugeot's battery sits under the bonnet in a plastic housing, and on most recent models a small monitoring unit is clipped to the negative terminal. The 208, 2008, 3008 and 5008 commonly have start-stop, so EFB or AGM in a European DIN size is the norm. Disconnecting it in the right order matters because of the car's central body computer.

Peugeot recommends waiting a few minutes after switching off before disconnecting the battery, so the body computer can shut down properly.
Start-stop Peugeots are fitted with EFB or AGM from the factory, depending on engine.
After reconnection, the one-touch windows and sunroof need a short reinitialisation, which we do before leaving.
Diesel and larger-engined versions take a bigger DIN case than small petrol models, so size is confirmed per car.
Choose your Peugeot model for battery guidance specific to that car.

It means the car is protecting a battery with low charge by switching off the radio, screen and other accessories. It appears occasionally after long use with the engine off. If it shows often, the battery is usually near the end and worth testing.
Most recent 3008 models have start-stop and use an EFB or AGM battery in a European DIN size. The exact type depends on engine and year. We check the label, fit the same technology and reinitialise the windows afterwards.
Yes, a small one. The ignition is switched off, the car is left for a few minutes so its computers go to sleep, and then the battery is disconnected. Rushing this can cause electrical faults. We follow the sequence and check for warnings afterwards.
Send your location, car make, model and year, plus a short description of the problem. We check battery availability and confirm the next steps.
