What battery does a Haima use?

My electric Haima is charged but will not switch on. Why?
The 12V battery is the usual cause. An electric or plug-in Haima needs it to start the computers and connect the drive battery, so a flat one leaves the car dead. We power the 12V side, wake the car and test that battery on site.
Why did the battery on my new Haima fail so soon?
